Our Journey

8 SQUARE METRES CHANGE THE COURSE OF HISTORY

Eight square metres define a tiny store with a big heart. Two young people brim with passion and creativity. One secret crepe batter recipe is mastered. A tourist eagerly looks at dozens of people waiting in line, aiming at the same thing at the same time. This is a typical image on the island of Kos in the distant 1997, back when our first store under the name “La Creperie” became a daily destination for hundreds of visitors, locals or tourists, no matter their age.

The store met with immediate success, giving us strength to plan our next steps. We experiment on a daily basis with our crepe pastry and the different forms that it can take. We look for raw materials that meet our quality standards and try new flavour combinations. In the beginning was the Crepe… therefore our business is renamed to Crepa-Crepa. Under this trade name, we launched our product in a larger and more demanding market at our first Crepa-Crepa store in the central square of Nea Smyrni, which soon became the flagship store of our chain. More stores followed in Galatsi, Rhodes and at The Mall Athens.

REINTRODUCING CREPES

“Ι have a dream!” shouted out loud both Crepa-Crepa owners (Fotis Chitiris and Maria Christopoulou), while experimenting with new ideas and fresh raw ingredients to perfect their recipes in their specially designed workshop. Having gained an extensive experience and expertise in the art of dough, they created a unique batter for our sweet and savoury crepes and shared the vision of redefining crepes as a tasty, quality and nutritious all day comfort choice, offering our customers the experience of quality integrated meals for lunch or dinner. This specific approach broadens the Crepa-Crepa universe, which breaks the limits of a typical crêperie and at the same time creates loyal and returning customers.

→ We train our staff on the principles of hospitality and make sure they are familiar with all our products, as to enable them to propose a variety of choices to our customers according to their taste preferences.
→ We create stores where crepe makers are the reference point of all raw ingredients used to create a crepe. Our stores are structured in such a way that they enable the customer to experience firsthand our values of homemade and healthy food.
→ We take very seriously into consideration our clients’ feedback. Every year, we spent time, money and resources on surveys both on a local and global level with regard to new flavours, consumer habits and trends to better and more adequately meet our customers’ needs.
